Getting to Know Mrs. Smith

I’ve been experiencing a lot of “new” lately.

New blog.

New readers.

New friends.

New town.

New apartment.

New husband.

New life!

With all that “new” I think it would be appropriate to introduce myself to you and tell you a little bit about who I am.

Let’s start with my name. My name is Natalie Smith. My name is new, because I just got married 6 weeks ago to my husband, Alex.

I grew up in Utah. And yes, I am a Mormon aka a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There’s a few of us here. 😉

I had a great childhood in a kind and loving home. When I grew up I decided to serve a mission for my church in Dallas, Texas. That’s where my love affair with the state of Texas began. I have told my husband a time or two that as much as I would love to give him my whole heart, he’ll have to travel to Texas to pick up the half I left there. And that’s where I got the inspiration for the title of this blog! I am a Texan who just happened to be born in Utah.

After serving my mission in Texas for 18 months, I came back home to Utah and continued my schooling. I had been home for just 8 months when I met my husband. People call us crazy, but we met in April, were engaged in May, and married in July. It has been a whirlwind, but it has been the time of my life. When you know, you know! When it’s right, it’s right! If you’re a bird, I’m a bird! (name that movie)

I love being married to Alex. I never get tired of spending time with him! We love to be outdoors, play sports, play games, and talk!

Another thing I love is learning. I love school. I love learning new skills! I love music and dancing. I love a good book. I love Netflix. I love hiking and camping. I love delicious food. I love looking at the world and feeling that swelling in my heart because I’m just so happy to be alive. Life is so beautiful!

I am excited to be sharing this blog with you. The subtitle says, “Reviews, How To’s, and My Views.” I love writing reviews about products, books, movies, TV shows, food, etc. I love teaching people things I’m learning in an easy to understand way. And I love sharing my view on life, love, relationships, God, and my country. Thanks for coming along for the ride. I don’t think you’ll regret it, and I’m glad you stopped by. Make today a great day!
